当時Hip Hopのイベントでクラブでは、"Hip Hop Classic"がメインで選曲されていました。
ビギーの曲が1番多くかかっていた記憶があります。クラブの雰囲気作りに欠かせないアーティストです。
ビギーの声とR&Bシンガーとの相性が良く、DJが選曲したくなる、DJのハートを掴む楽曲、そんな印象です。
自分も当時レコードを買い集めましたが、再発でレコードを買うか、高くてもオリジナルで買うか、ビギーは、オリジナルで買いたくなるアーティストです。
お客さんからしたら何も変わらないかもしれませんが、オリジナル盤の方がDJをしている側として気持ちがいいです。
そういったDJのSoulがダンスフロアーに届くような気がします。
今はYoutubeで無料で聞くことができますが、お金を出してアーティストに還元するというのもコミュニケーションとして大事かなと思います。
